Hoffmann Underground, LLC (“Hoffmann Underground,” “we,” “us”) operates hoffmannunderground.com. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it.
The short version
- We collect only what you choose to send us, plus basic technical data needed to serve the website.
- We use it to respond to you and to do the work you asked about.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.
- We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in our contact form, we receive what you typed: your name, your email address, and optionally your phone number, company, job location, and the project details you describe. If you call or email us instead, we have whatever you tell us there.
We ask for this because we cannot bid a job without it. Everything on the form except your name, email, the type of work, and the project details is optional.
Information collected automatically
Our website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes basic technical information needed to deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse — including your IP address, browser type, and which pages you requested. This is standard server activity, not a profile of you.
This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not follow you around the internet.
How we use it
We use what you send us to:
- Respond to your question or prepare a bid
- Coordinate the work — scheduling, site access, and questions that come up in the field
- Keep normal business records, including estimates, contracts, and invoices
- Meet our legal, tax, insurance, and licensing obligations
We do not use your information to send marketing you did not ask for.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about work you have contacted us about or hired us to do — scheduling, crew arrival, site access, bid follow-up, and questions that come up on the job. We text because it is usually the fastest way to reach someone standing on a job site.
Your consent
You consent to receive text messages from us when you give us your mobile number on our contact form, on a bid or contract, or directly in conversation. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of doing business with us. If you would rather not be texted, tell us and we will call or email instead.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies depending on the job and how active it is. Message and data rates may apply — those are charged by your mobile carrier, not by us. We are not responsible for charges from your carrier, and we cannot guarantee that messages are delivered on time, since that depends on your carrier and your service.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any text from us and we will stop texting that number. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that. Opting out of texts does not affect our ability to work with you — we will simply use phone or email.

What we will never do with your mobile number
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information collected for text messaging is shared with anyone for marketing. The only parties who ever touch it are the service providers who help us actually send the message, and they may not use it for anything else.
Who we share information with
We share what you send us only where it is necessary to do the work or to run the business:
- Service providers who operate on our behalf — our website host, email provider, messaging provider, and accounting software. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.
- Project partners where the job requires it — for example the general contractor, developer, or subcontractors coordinating on your site.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.
That is the entire list. We do not sell your information to anyone, for any purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as they may be relevant to a current or future job, and we keep business records — contracts, estimates, invoices — for as long as our tax, insurance, and legal obligations require. When information is no longer needed for either, we dispose of it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can ask us to stop contacting you entirely, or by a particular method. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive material — bank details, government identification numbers — through the website contact form. If we need something like that for a job, we will arrange a safer way to send it.
Children
This website is for our business customers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
